One of my morning discussions with my mother ended up in this prayer, it made me cry, so I thought to share with you on this day 14th Feb 2025.
Father,
You have called us to be like the palm tree—rooted, resilient, and ever-flourishing. You have declared in Your Word that the righteous will flourish like the palm tree; they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon (Psalm 92:12). So today, we come before You, asking to embody the strength, purpose, and unwavering faith of this mighty tree.
Like the palm tree, may our roots go deep, anchoring us in faith even when the winds of life try to shake us. May we stand tall, unwavering in our purpose, unbending in our trust in You. When storms come, let us not break but bend, knowing that we will rise again, stronger than before.
Father, let every part of us be useful. Just as the palm tree gives shade, oil, fruit, and wood—may our lives be a blessing to those around us. Let our hands work with diligence, our words bring healing, our presence offers peace, and our journey inspires others to walk in faith. May nothing You have placed within us go to waste, for in Your hands, all things serve a purpose.
Lord, remind us that we will not miss what is meant for us. What You have ordained for us cannot be stolen, delayed, or denied. If it is ours, it will find us. If it is Your will, it will come to pass. Help us trust Your divine timing, knowing that no good thing will pass us by as long as it is in Your plan.
When seasons change, let us not fear. Just as the palm tree flourishes in the dry and in the rain, in the sun and in the storm, may we thrive in every season of our lives. May we be steadfast in drought and joyful in abundance, never doubting that You are our source and sustainer.
Lord, we declare today: We will flourish. We will not be uprooted. We will not wither. We will not miss what is for us. We will stand tall in purpose, useful in every way, unshaken by the world, and deeply planted in our essence and You.
Amen.
