Dearest reader,
It feels like ages since I last wrote to you. It’s just February and it feels like I’ve gone through experiences to last me a year and more in these two months. It’s been a ride but none to leave anyone bruised—it’s all good.
The euphoria of seeing tangible growth, looking back at last year, seeing where you are now, and being proud.
If there’s one thing about me is the fervour I use to say what’s wrong, I equally use the same voice to amplify the good in my life. I give voice to my desires and good experiences no matter how slow it comes, or how fast it comes, I shall celebrate with glee. I don’t mind if I sound like a broken record of glees but I rather be that than a synonym of wilts. In this garden, we celebrate even the littlest buds that bloom.
On the week
This week, my drive reminded me of the images from last year, this time. And on the 24th of this month, I met Favour for the first time. She spoke of her business and everything in between. She launched FONO last year. A seed was planted and it is growing to date. We have worked together and still work together. Today, a year later, witnessing the growth on both ends fills me with a quiet sense of satisfaction.
On lesson
Silence is luxurious. It’s a solid skill to know when to speak and when not to speak. Speaking in anger is when not to speak. Hold your tongue or thumbs then.
Meditate more often.
Journal your goals and outline your plans. As you think always scribble something, it gives life to your thoughts.
People are weird. One might as well just get used to seeing these adequately distributed weird people in life and not let them affect you much.
Whatever perception anybody has of you, it is not your role to change their mind to see you where you are now. It’s not your job to convince them you’ve grown and become aware of all that you are and can be. Those who are aware would recognize growth.
Give the same relevance people give you in their lives. A drop for a drop, a well for a well, a river for a river. As a giver and pourer into things, they might never measure up to the love that you give and pour, but try, do try to give as you receive so you have enough for yourself.
To the good people in your life, don’t forget to thank them and show them how much they mean in your life.
On goals
Pleased to know that I run a successful freelance ghostwriting and copywriting business on Upwork and have reached the five figures in dollars milestone. More pleased to know I do this alongside my two full-time jobs. I am gobsmacked and inspired to reach for six figures in dollars. So here’s to a six-figure climb with this business.
Working with Prazzle Inc. and seeing our growth so far, hoping for more as I stay proud of the creative ecosystem we’re building.
I've birthed writing ideas from my head for brands and seen them grow, I can't wait for them to become a big deal as these brands grow, and thrive, and know that this this this by this was my idea.
Wholeheartedly abandon toxic ships and burn those bridges down.
Speak my mind more and learn how to articulate my thoughts better.
Do not tolerate unclear expectations of me from anyone.
Love myself so much that I won’t be at tables where I am not wanted or half-wanted.
Celebrate all my milestones as they come no matter how small.
Become a successful plant mom, haha.
Seek ways to be kinder in thoughts, words, and actions as I pray more.
On butterflies
There are no butterflies, I am just here, with my cup of cinnamon tea, thinking about the endless possibilities that lay ahead if we are bold enough to think positively about things. I say “bold” because only the brave encounter setbacks and still maintain positivity in life and hope for the future.

Concluding note
It shall continue to be a time of growth, lessons, and pushing yourself out of the box. and accomplishments, and I can't help but feel immensely proud of you if this is true for you. Looking back at where I was this time last year when I first met Favour and began working with her on FONO, it's amazing to see how far I've come.
The memories I've made along the way, both with others and of my journey, fill me with joy and gratitude. They remind me of the progress we can make and the challenges we can overcome as a people. Stay counting your blessings.
With love,
