Beyond our realities

In July a co-founder—Felicia found me through my newsletter and asked me to teach her team how to write with AI while maintaining the human essence she sees in my newsletters.

I closed my eyes and now it is August. July was a good and challenging month. I touched lots of money but it went puff like the wind thanks to first daughter's problems. Everybody had one thing or the other more dire than my own problems. 

I read a lot in July too—shallow books tho, they did not make me feel anything exceptional but I guess that’s the point. Not everything we create or put out is supposed to feel exceptionally wow. Sometimes it exists just because there’s one more space to hold a silly idea of a book that should have remained just that—an idea! 

But… do you know how many silly ideas are thriving because the creators found them daring enough to push and actualize them? A lot! I just want to say I am amazed at the number of things one could do for money if they’re audacious enough to sell the problem that they solve. Most times these problems don’t exist in the reality of their target audience but once they create it, a reality without these problems is no longer seen.

In July a co-founder—Felicia found me through my newsletter and asked me to teach her team how to write with AI while maintaining the human essence she sees in my newsletters. She said I write in a way that isn’t persuasive and that in itself is compelling. Because to her, the selling that has always got her were the ones that sold her stories, moments, and memories and felt like a “not trying hard,” kinda vibe. 

She said my newsletter had that gisting with a friend vibe, which always makes her feel different. I was honored. Lol. She asked if I used AI sometimes to write. Of course, I use it to sometimes build out my idea. Most times my newsletter comes from my notes which are often like five lines and I then build it out as I write. We got on board for a week, I showed what I knew and the elements that I incorporate into how I write for me. 

There are currently 171,476 words in the currently used Oxford dictionary, why would you choose to limit yourself to the words chat GPT gave you when there are various synonyms to use and pass across your message? I have never seen an abuse of the word, “Unlock,” like I have seen in this AI era. “Unlock,” what? Even big brands. It is funny that people want minimalism even with words. Words!! Words that started a great many things you want to minimize. 

Attention span is short but what if it isn’t attention span that’s short but connection? I know many times I’ve gone back to Medium to read from a particular person because I started reading their work but an Asana notification just takes my attention away for a while. It stays in my memory till I go to read all of it. Most times it isn’t even the big words or captivating hook. It is just the way they share their experiences.

I taught all of these to the team. I gave them prompts each day and we tailored each one to fit the emotion each writer wanted to show through their work. It was a beautiful workshop, truly. This leads me back to the reality talk that I didn’t envision a world where I would have to teach people how to incorporate human vibes into their write-ups. But thanks to AI that’s now a problem that needed a solution and writers like me provided the solution for it.

August

I received feedback from her today that she likes the team vibes, it is as though they’ve been challenged to see whose work gets more exciting than the previous. This prompted me to write because just yesterday I was just feeling this nagging sense of dissatisfaction. A restlessness that seems to linger no matter what you push yourself to achieve.

I felt this was my soul’s compass pointing me toward a reality beyond my current experiences. Then I found, “The Moth,” a platform where people tell stories live and share via podcasts. I looked at their page for a while and I wondered how I didn’t know of these people until I got the book, “How To Tell a Story.” 

Our human perception is such a peculiar thing. We often focus on what’s directly in front of us, oblivious to the vast expanse of possibilities that exist just beyond our field of vision. Our field of vision consists of; our social feeds, newsletters we sign up for, news, and all of the media we consume each day. Until something new maybe through a book comes into our line of vision much that exists is removed from it.

That applies to ourselves too. Much like an object removed from our radar, certain aspects of ourselves—our higher, best selves are thriving in a dimension we haven’t fully accessed yet. That’s why we read to envision it, we write to brave it, and we tell stories to the people who would listen to it because we seek another outside of us. 

Our current reality too wasn’t always like this, it evolved over time to get us to this point. So certainly, it is filled with immense value. However, with it being the foundation upon which we build, it is important for us to recognize that there’s more to us than meets the eye. A version of you that exists where dreams are realized. A place where your potential is maximized, and happiness is abundant. 

You must see it for it to exist. You must know what it is like for it to come. That is why we ought to live in a waiting state because all that we seek exists and for it to come we just have to see it. 

My friend yesterday asked me, “Have you always envisioned this you?” “Yes,” I said. My only fault is I thought this current reality was too big so I imagined just here and now I want more. So this restlessness I feel is that of purpose, to find the core which I solidly believe in. It is a gentle nudge from my higher self, inviting me to take a leap of faith and dare to find answers that keep me restless. Questions that tie to purpose.

I have always believed we are all stories and after we’ve gone what remains is the stories we told to the people we have encountered in life. Telling your story is a necessity for survival and living. It’s no wonder they are AI now wielding words taking out what makes us truly connect as people. 

Familiar Path

I read a story of Talia Byre on Brownfashion.ng blog on how she founded her fashion brand to preserve her heritage. The format was beautiful and just kinda like a vibe. This restlessness to step off the familiar path might not be for everybody. Like Talia Byre some stories need preserving either through fashion or something else. But for most to get into the unknown is the point.

It is uncomfortable but somehow it is a catalyst for extraordinary reality where you solve problems you didn’t know existed. Potential is limitless I believe we just need to see it enough to key into it. The question isn’t if you can reach the higher self but how fast you can believe it so it turns into a matter of, “When.” 

For me, it is a matter of what is purpose now. Is purpose being authentic and seeing where it goes? Or is the purpose teaching people how to write with the core of their hearts being the center of it in an AI world? Whichever it is I think staying on path will help me connect more, overcome my limiting beliefs, and create a life that truly resonates with my soul. I want to wake up every morning and take in deep air into my lungs as I smash my goals and just be wealthy in all the things that matter.
